Involvement

As part of our commitment to enhancing opportunities and building lasting relationships, we provide our unique strengths and perspectives to various community organizations. Among them:

Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP): The Voice for Women in Business in our Nation’s Capital, Women Impacting Public Policy, Inc. (WIPP) is a national bi-partisan public policy organization that advocates for and on behalf of women and minorities in business in the legislative processes of our nation, creating economic opportunities and building bridges and alliances to other small business organizations. Through WIPP, our collective voice makes a powerful impact on Capitol Hill and with the Administration.

Semper Fi Outbound Odyssey: Semper Fi Odyssey is a six-day holistic transition-assistance event with a curriculum designed to get participants ready for life after military service while preparing them for success.  Due to the generosity of Semper Fi Fund donors, partners, and volunteers, the Semper Fi Odyssey program is provided at no expense to the participants; our transitioning, active duty injured service members and veterans. Accordingly, Semper Fi Odyssey is a collaborative effort to give back to our men and women who have honorably worn the uniform.

Women’s Presidents Organization (WPO): The WPO is a non-profit membership organization for women presidents of multimillion-dollar companies. Members of the WPO take part in professionally-facilitated peer advisory groups in order to coax the ‘genius out of the group’ and grow their businesses to the next level.

Enterprising Women Magazine’s mission is to reflect and amplify the voices of entrepreneurial women; to share their stories of risk and success; to chronicle their growing political, economic and social influence and power; to celebrate their triumphs; to provide solutions to their problems; and to identify and promote a new generation of leaders, along with role models and mentors for tomorrow’s leaders.  Solution4network’s Michele McGough  is a member of the Enterprising Women Advisory Board and 2010 contributing author.

University of Pittsburgh Institute for Entrepreneurial ExcellenceCreated by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs, the Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence provides the power to impact the economic vitality of western Pennsylvania.  Over the last decade,  the Institute  has launched hundreds of innovative companies, created thousands of new jobs, and secured hundreds of millions of dollars for business growth.

Frostburg University School of Business Advisory BoardThe FSUBusiness Advisory Board is a group of business leaders who provide valuable external input on issues of strategic importance to the college. The Board meets during the  year and members have had a significant impact on the college’s mission, strategic plan, curriculum, and accreditation efforts.

Woman and Girls Foundation: The Women and Girls Foundation of Southwest Pennsylvania (WGF) is an independent, community-based foundation serving Southwest Pennsylvania. Our vision is to create a region where women and girls have equal access, opportunity, and influence in all aspects of their public and private lives.

Save the ChildrenWe support this organization because of the ability to help children in the United States and the percentage of our contributions that go directly to the needs of the children.
